Leaf Collection Concludes

Weather permitting, leaf collection will conclude on Friday, December 14, 2018.  Residents may rake leaves into the street, next to the curb in front of their property.  Please keep leaves away from sewer inlets and fire hydrants and do not rake twigs, branches, sticks, rocks or garden debris, etc., in with the leaves.  These items can cause leaf collection equipment to malfunction, preventing effective cleanup.  For questions about leaf collection, please call the Public Works Department at 847/933-8427.

Volunteers Needed!

The Skokie Home Delivered Meals Program provides a nutritionally balanced meal five days a week to some of Skokie's most vulnerable residents.  The success of this program relies on the generosity of community volunteers to sort and deliver food to participant homes.  Meals are delivered between 11 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.  Choose your day or days to help Skokie residents maintain independence while relieving food insecurity.  If you are interested in volunteering, please call Lucy Rukavina in the Human Services Division at 847/933-8208.
